After a sixteen-week project bringing together senior leaders to reflect in real time on the challenges of leading during the Covid-19 crisis, The Resilience Shift is launching its new report: “˜Resilient Leadership: Learning from Crisis’.

Counting down to a safe, sustainable and resilient future

We are excited to be launching the report in the context of the TEDxCountdown project, the global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action. As a TEDxCountdown network partner, we believe that resilient leadership will be critical to steering us through the critical decision making and deep uncertainties that we will encounter in the countdown to zero carbon. We also believe that decarbonisation and resilience must go hand in hand for a safe, sustainable and resilient future.

Our digital doors will be open at 15.45pm to hear inspiring presentations curated from TedxCountdown’s global launch on 10 October. From 16.00 – 17.00 we bring together a panel of participants with the instigators who began the experiment to learn from crisis in real-time with a question: What if we could be a fly on the wall as senior leaders navigate the challenges of Covid in real-time?

As part of the global goal to learn from the crisis, The Resilience Shift, in partnership with the Resilient Cities Network, brought together diverse senior leaders from corporations, the World Bank and cities across the globe to answer those questions, taking part in an experimental programme of weekly reflective conversations over sixteen weeks of the Covid-19 crisis.

This new report captures the insights that emerged along the way, and the lessons for leadership when dealing with a major crisis. It explores the difference between “˜Resilient Leadership’ and “˜Leadership for Resilience’ and how the use of reflective learning makes better leaders.
