Resilience Rising at COP28

Resilience Rising is heading to Dubai for COP28 with a dynamic agenda that is focused on mainstreaming resilience into every climate conversation.

We will once again be supporting two full weeks of programming as a Managing Partner of the Resilience Hub pavilion in the Blue Zone. The Resilience Hub is the focal point for resilience and adaptation at COP and is the official home of the UN’s Race to Resilience campaign. All Resilience Hub events will be live-streamed for global audiences – register today to participate!

Our partners at Resilience First and the International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI) are also holding a number of impactful sessions during COP28. We’re excited to share our planned activities below. All events are in local Dubai time, Gulf Standard Time (GST), GMT+4.

Science to Action: Community-led transformation

2 December, 17:45-18:45 GST

The session will help identify ways that would increase the accessibility of both the development of climate science and data as well as its usability by urban practitioners.

Engineering Action: Influencing the future of the built & natural environment

3 Dec, 13:30-14:30 GST
Resilience Hub, Blue Zone

Recognising that engineers are critical to building just, resilient, inclusive & sustainable infrastructure, this session led by ICSI will explore how to implement the UNDRR Principles for Resilient Infrastructure and showcase tangible examples of engineering-led transformative action, including practical capacity building of early-career engineers.
